Moving beyond the tradition of ordering packages, the optional Sport, Luxury and Modern Lines each present the 3 Series in ways designed to thoroughly satisfy owners of various stripes.  The Sport Line advances the model's legacy as a dynamic race-winner, from the more aggressive front fascia and 18-inch wheels to the exclusive track-inspired trim inside and out.  The Luxury Line offers the utmost in elegance and sophistication - the leather-upholstered cabin is accented with bespoke stitching and rich wood trim; the exterior is enhanced with gleaming chrome trim.  And the Modern Line is distinguished by its serene light interior, complete with mood lighting; the outside is accented with satin aluminum trim.  Each Line delivers its own unique twist on the classic 3 Series formula: high performance, powerful stance, confident contours and elegant appointments.  No matter which Line you choose, the all-new 3 Series brings a whole new level of personalized luxury and performance to the BMW brand.

A TWIN POWER TURBO DUET.
Just as the all-new 3 Series honors its performance-driven legacy, the new inline four-cylinder engine under the hood of the 328i follows a time-honored BMW configuration, updated for today's driving needs.  This TwinPower Turbo dynamo produces a whopping 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque - part of the reason the 0-60 time is a full second faster than the previous-generation 328i model when equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission.  Peak torque arrives at 1250 rpm and pours on all the way to 4800 rpm - all with fewer emissions and greater efficiency.  The 335i delivers the award-winning TwinPower Turbo muscle that's won over legions of drivers, with 300 horsepower, 300 lb-ft of torque, and a 7000-rpm redline.   Both engine choices offer more of what BMW owners demand: impressive performance paired with maximum efficiency.  Coupled with a standard 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 8-speed automatic - a first for the class - both deliver supremely smooth shifting and control over all this impressive power.

PERSONALIZED PERSONALITY.
Along with the redesign and an elegant, customized interior, BMW added a tremendous number of new technologies and enhancements throughout the 3 Series.  For example, the list of standard equipment has grown in every 3 Series model.  Inside, there's the iDrive Controller with 6.5-inch color monitor, which is upgraded to an 8.8-inch screen when equipped with the optional Navigation System - as well as the high-tech convenience of Bluetooth® and USB/iPod® adapters.  Outside, add optional Comfort Access and enjoy the ease of an automatic-opening trunk-lid.  The list of standard features also extends to advanced driving technologies.  Auto Start-Stop and Brake Energy regeneration both work to conserve fuel and increase efficiency, as does the new ECO PRO mode.  A part of Driving Dynamics Control, this feature optimizes power usage throughout the vehicle, from engine management to climate control.  Along with these impressive standard features, there is a variety of personalizing options, from Heads-up Display and Surround View Camera display, to Lane Departure Warning and Parking Assistant.  The 2012 3 Series: a return to innovative form, as only BMW could deliver.
